1月にミニ四駆を始めて早2ヶ月…
緊急事態宣言解除でコジマのコースも解禁されたので、やっと初走りができました！
ミニ四駆をコースで走らせるのは第二次ブーム時代…25年振りくらい…
ワクワクとドキドキが混じった複雑な感情。日曜日の開店直後に行きましたが、すでに3～4名の方が走らせていました。仲間たくさん！
マシン・セッティング
マシンはネオVQS アドバンスパックをカスタマイズ。
フロントに簡単なピボットバンパー。FRPのせいか若干脆そうなのが不安…。
リアはATバンパーで19mmアルミローラーを上下に。リアブレーキも付け、Twitterで拝見したドラえもん提灯もセッティング。サイドはマスダンパーをベーシックに設置。
ローラーはアドバンスパックのカラーに合わせてゴールドで統一しました。金は王者の色。かっこいい。
モーターはハイパーダッシュ3モーター、ギアは3･7：1を選択。3.5：1と迷いましたが、まずは無難に安定重視…。タイヤはスーパーハードタイヤをそのまま。
いざ試走…
コースアウト！コースアウト！コースアウト！
結局この日は一度も完走させられませんでした(泣)
特にレーンチェンジがまったくクリアできない。絶対に飛んでいく。
原因はどうやら、このピボットバンパーにあるみたい。正確に言うとローラーのスラスト角度。
スラスト角度がなさすぎてローラーが機能せず、レーンチェンジで吹っ飛んでいくようです。
ギミックのせいでローラーが上に押し上げられて、スラスト角度がなくなってしまっていました。
そして、レーンチェンジを駆け上がって勢いのまま水平に吹っ飛んでいくということです…。
コジマのコースはそもそもピボットバンパーが必要なほど揺さぶられるわけではないので、無意味なギミックを付けた結果、コースアウトを招くという何とも悲しい結果に。
いやー、ミニ四駆って難しいですね。良かれと思って付けた機能が逆効果になっているなんて。面白い。
次回の改善施策
まず、もちろんフロントのピボットバンパーを外します。ATバンパーもありかなと思いましたが、まずはカーボンステーの普通にローラーを取り付けてみます。
フロントにドラえもん提灯もありかな？ マシン全体の重心が気になりますが…(ドウヤッテハンダンスレバイイノ)
あと、サイドのプレートもカーボンにしよう(これは見た目重視)
